Definition of Success

Random post and just noting this for myself (after reading a few books and seeing how others defined success). The rumination made me realize I should write down mine.

After thinking about it for a few days, I realized mine is a bit different from the definitions I’ve come across, and I just couldn’t distill it into a single word or brief bullet point/phrase, so here’s what I feel captures it best for me:

“Success means living a life of genuine, meaningful relationships and integrity, continually growing, contributing to others, and staying true to your core values and life principles, being a good person, so that your family, friends, the people you care about, and the world around you are better because you were part of it. Success is also being the best you can be by giving your full effort, realizing the best version of yourself, and pursuing what you genuinely enjoy and worthy goals with humility and resilience, meeting setbacks with perseverance and courage, and remaining grounded in what truly matters. It is when the people you want to love you actually do love you. It is making the people who believed in you look wise and glad they did.”
