Definition of Leadership

There are many definitions – I thought a while and wanted to jot this down for myself to have clarity:

“Leadership is inspiring others to execute the mission and move toward a shared vision, guiding them with integrity, clarity, and purpose so that your people can achieve their best. It is serving others and leading by example, so people succeed because they want to, not because they have to. The true mark of a leader is that those you lead are better because of your presence on the team as their leader, and remain better long after you are gone, because of the impact you made on them.”
